Funding films that matter.

Good Omen grew out of the impact-driven film work Lion Hill Production began, and now stands on its own as the dedicated vehicle for it. Unlike traditional commercial film financing, the foundation prioritises artistic and intellectual impact over profit, allowing visionary filmmakers to tell stories that might otherwise struggle to secure funding. (The foundation was previously known as the Lion Hill Film Fund.)

How it works

The foundation operates as an equity-based model, where investors, donors and partners receive a share in a project's financial success — with the understanding that many socially impactful films do not generate high commercial returns. This model attracts both philanthropists and investors who believe in cinema as a force for cultural change.

Our first major project is Being Human, a feature documentary co-produced with Plattform Produktion, directed by Maximilian van Aertryck & Axel Danielson (Fantastic Machine, Sundance & Berlinale winner). Lion Hill Production co-produces the film as a studio; the foundation is involved in a different capacity, on the funding side.
